True, that's why it's a bad thing if developers implement every wish some user has. Presonus Software unfortunately already implemented a lot of things they shouldn't have though, but, they 1. have to justify the paid upgrades, and, 2. "Jack of all trades" products nearly always lack of detail in many functionality which may be much more important for some than some seperate "Mastering page" or similar...
I really wished there was a competitive DAW which keeps it simple. Studio One used to be that, but, already implemented too much stuff for my liking. They "listen" to the ones who think DAWs have to do everything too much. I don't blame them for that, the laymen are usually the loudest these days, but, I certainly wished that they would stick to their vision more.
But, I guess if you can make more money by offloading loads of features every 1 or 2 years in paid upgrades, then you just do it.
