Thanks for the reply! It's very quiet on this forum area...Maybe there should be a Reddit for Amplesound! It's complicated software and needs a discussion area with show and tell that's populated.
1. Glad to know it's not just me. Since no one had replied here I emailed their "service" and got a fast response as follows.
" this is the first time we've received a report of this issue. Could you please specify which key you accidentally pressed that caused the tuning to change? For example, did pressing C#6 accidentally enable Strummer mode?"
I'm not sure what key causes it. When I tried to make it happen - I couldn't!
2. I have the Rickenbacker and Vintage Cherry - I've tried different sounds on them combined with the dice randomizer but they all to broken chords - not solo notes. Your example was interesting though!
Their reply to this question was as follows -
"Bass Dice does indeed have scale options, but currently, Guitar Dice only generates chord progressions. We're working on a v4 update that will upgrade the Riffer with both Tab and Piano Roll interfaces. Enhancing the Dice feature is on our improvement list as part of this significant update, which we hope to release later this year. Please stay tuned for these updates."
Since it's currently 3.7 I think v4 is a ways off...
