What are the practicalities/legalities/ethics of selling it?

I bought it about 2-3 years ago from someone here, long after Peter closed shop.
AFAIK that's perfectly fine.
Just send them the installer and serial and delete it from your computer after the sale.
It doesn't call home/Linplug at any point.
