You can put it in the pcie5 slot, its the same, will run at 4.0 speeds. As far as the slots are concerned, I don't see any pcie 4.0x16 slots available?
I have an Apollo uad dsp quad core card btw which I would be using in one of the pcie lanes.
Also, for more x16 slots, with the newest AMD x870e chipset (which adds only USB40gb though):

Same thing, 4.0 cards inserted in the PCIe5 slots will run at 4.0 speeds.
But you can also insert it in the PCIe3 slot, as its not like you will ever reach PCIe3 speeds (4gb/sec) using UAD DSP. RME still uses USB2.0 ports which have 480mb/s and supports up to 70 channels at the same time. PCIe3 supports almost 10 times as many, which in reality you will never use - UAD DSP can't handle even 70 plugins at the same time as you can see in this chart - https://help.uaudio.com/hc/en-us/articl ... -DSP-Chart
