Mostly the tech bro billionaires that Trump rode into the white house with the money of are all acutely aware of how important Taiwans chip manufacturing company TSMC is to the entire planet, and how devastating it would be for the world if China had control of that company.China (PRC) will probably make bolder moves toward assimilating Taiwan this winter, during the transition from Biden to Trump. I don't think Trump has any hotels in Taiwan, so what would be in it for him to defend that independent, sovereign, self-ruling island?
TSMC have the best chip fabricating plants on the planet right now, Apple, Intel, Qualcomm and many others have used their services to actually produce the chips they design.
So Trump will do his populist thing and complain about manufacturing of chips in the USA etc. but he will not let China take Taiwan, much more likely he lets Russia take Ukraine if it can.
