Icarus 1.6 from Computer Music Magazine worked fine for me on Sonoma but if I remember correctly the certification is expired so Gatekeeper will say it can’t be installed unless the computer is set to allow apps from unidentified sources,also it’s not Apple silicon compatible so the host needs to run via Rosetta for the synth to work properly. I don’t remember the specifics because I upgraded to Icarus 2.5 almost immediately but I just installed Tone2 ultra space,which CM is giving away also and has this same issueI am not even on the newest macOS. I am running Monterey still. So not going to go back to Catalina or something older that won't be supported anymore and wont get any security patches just so I can run a plugin that is given out as magware here in 2024.
I'll wait for the Icarus 3 demo and check it out.
